The Sheep Meat Specialists

Irish Country Meats is the specialist sheep meat processing division of Slaney Foods, a subsidiary of the Linden Food Group - a combined business which represents significant scale in beef and lamb processing on the island of Ireland. This scale and specialisation facilitates a customer-focused, cost efficient quality beef and lamb product with the customer proposition “big enough to deliver, small enough to care”.

At Irish Country Meats we are passionate about lamb. From farm to plate, we invest in the standards, processes, training, product development and delivery methods necessary to meet our objective – to be the best at what we do. 

While we are proud of the fact that we are the largest sheep meat processor in Ireland, of equal importance to us is the fact that we have retained the craftsmanship and attention to detail that have been our trademarks for the last fifteen years. During this time, we have developed a specialised business model to enable us to deliver consistent product freshness, quality, tenderness and year round availability.

Our committed professional management team is dedicated to best industry practice, ensuring a Total Quality Management approach to the running of our business. Together with our highly skilled specialist staff we deliver the highest standards in food safety, customer service and innovation - elements which have been fundamental to our success.

We source the majority of our sheep directly from farmers, ensuring a transparent link between producer, processor and end user. Lowland farmers, recognised as being amongst the most advanced in terms of breeding, husbandry and production practices, provide a quality livestock supply base for our facilities in Camolin, Co. Wexford and Navan, Co. Meath.

Our lamb is processed to the highest safety standards, matured and then vacuum packed for freshness.  Our quality standards and systems are independently verified by EFSIS (European Food Safety Inspection Service) and are HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) compliant.
