Irish Country Meat’s state of the art processing facilities are Grade A EFSIS (European Food Safety Inspection Service) accredited.

EFSIS was founded in 1989 when the Meat and Livestock Commission and Campden and Chorleywood Research Association joined forces to create an inspection company. It operates in over 70 countries, inspecting 65 per cent of all food products worldwide which are subject to a third party certificated supplier evaluation.

As the premier third party independent inspection and certification service, EFSIS provides retailers, manufacturers, farmers and caterers throughout the world with expert inspection and certification of their operations, to ensure only the highest standards are maintained. 

EFSIS is the preferred inspection and certification inspection service to a wide range of specifiers worldwide. These include major retailers, grocery independents, contract caterers, multiple catering outlets, fast food chains and a whole host of other companies operating within the food chain. EFSIS also inspects against various industry quality assurance schemes, covering an extensive range of food products.
