HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)is a control and monitoring system for hygiene practices in food production, supply and retail. The system is aimed at helping those involved in the food industry to meet and maintain the highest possible standards of hygiene.

HACCP takes a systematic approach to identifying and controlling hazards (i.e. microbiological, chemical or physical) that could pose a danger to the preparation of safe food. The system also identifies what can go wrong and plans measures to prevent it.

At Irish Country Meats, we are fully HACCP compliant. We have a management system in our facilties that is linked to H.A.C.C.P approbation, providing us with a solid foundation for best practice throughout the production chain.
